ABOUT ARTA PREFECTURE
There are many villages in the mountains and by the sea that are worth visiting. There is a well known double delta in the gulf of Amvrakikos formatted there by the two rivers Louros and Arachthos . Rare birds can be found here. The bridge of Arta and the Byzantine churches are also worth visiting.
The capital of the province, Arta , is built upon seven hills full of orange trees and olive trees. You must see the castle situated at the highest point of the city, the ancient theater of Amvrakia and the church of Panagia Parigoritissa.
There is a waterfall you should see at the village Kataraktis as well as the Monastery of Agia Aekaterini. In the village of Koronissia you can visit the church of Panagia of Koronissia.
